Can I pay for a travel eSIM in MVR?+
Yes. All Roam Dhuniye plans are priced in MVR and can be paid by BML or MIB card, or by bank transfer. You do not need a foreign currency card.
Will I keep my Dhiraagu or Ooredoo number while abroad?+
Yes. The eSIM is added alongside your existing SIM, so your Maldivian number stays on the phone for calls, SMS and bank OTPs while the eSIM provides data.
Is a travel eSIM cheaper than roaming?+
Usually, yes. A prepaid eSIM charges a fixed price for a set amount of data, so there are no per-MB roaming charges or surprise bills when you return.
When should I install the eSIM?+
Install it in the Maldives before you fly, while you have Wi-Fi. Most plans only start counting days when they first connect to a network at your destination.
